Hey All, Since my last post I haven't been able to get a quote from the Yamaha insurance site, it may have had technical prob's? So on my search on the net I stumbeld across this site www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk Excellent! Saved me money! It's definately worth giving them a go if any one is looking? Cheers guys!

I've got about 5,000 miles on my 1300, and once the engine gets nice and hot, I hear what to me seems like excessive lifter noise. I just had oil changed, with Amsoil synthetic, 10/40, and noise remains. Does this seem to be typical with this bike's engine? Is anyone else having this issue?

  5. I am by no means an experienced rider, but lets say I want to live all the "in at the deep end" "road adventure" cliches, and lets say I want to that with a 1995 RXS100... ...Now someone tell me how unrealistic i'm being! Otherwise, anyone with any long term, long distance experience with an RXS100 could put me straight on the pros and cons of attempting to ride the thing as far as, perhaps, Switzerland and back. The adventure may or may not start here?!

Hi , My name is Mike Fifer . I am 55 years old and could not afford an RD when I was young. I have riden on and off for about 40 years now. I (in my youth days ) raced a Yamaha 125 MX , 250 MX , flat tracked the 250 and a BSA 500 Victor and ended with a S3 Kawasaki and a H1 Kawasaki Dragster. I now ride a Suzuki C50 to work (50 miles round trip) daily. I recently purchased a 1976 RD400. I have since done some work to it and this is the progress now. Thanks , Mike

Hi All, Been a member here for a while and own an old RD, an old DT and an old XS, been away for a while, busy with work which, as it happens involves looking after the Team Roberts website. Anyway, all you 'forty somethings' who remember King Kenny, we have just launched on the teams website, the opportunity for YOU to have your name on the Roberts bike at the last race of the season (Valencia, 4th Nov). Yes i know the bike runs a HONDA engine currently, but King Kenny will always be a Yamaha Hero Just go to www.teamkr.com and follow the link on the homepage. This is not a scam and it will cost you nothing !! Come on, support Team Roberts, tell yo…

Hello, just joined --I wanted to know what the heck i'm doing wrong with the above trimoto. I rode the bike, it worked but noticed a "rattle" inside the motor, --it was the clutch-side main bearing. I took the engine apart, replaced both bearings and seals. put it back together and it won't start. i replaced the stator, the CDI, the plug, and it still won't run. Now i'm wondering if i got the piston in backwards?? the slots in the piston are turned toward the carburator side, the piston has an arrow on top and i pointed that toward the front tire. I spin the engine with a large drill and still it pops shoots a little fire out of the exhaust but still will not start---so,-…

I started up my WR 450/2003 today and I had to use the choke to keep it running for about 5 minutes. The exhaust turned cherry red, looked like my bike was going to explode. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas? Thanks!

Got taken out in the fog at 20mph today (weds 13) by myopic pesioner waiting till the last minuite to pull out in front of me....nuff said. broken collar bone and damage all down LH side of 2006 R1.(didnt make its 1st bday on Mar 1) THIS IS THE CRUCIAL BIT..........WILL PROBABLY END IN A LAW SUIT. (HOPE NOT) A fellow 06 R1 owner had an almost identical spill on a roudabout last April. His bike went down on the RH side and cost thick end of £1000 to replace: clutch cover, side panel, air intake, seat unit, top faring, screen, brake lever, mirror, indicator etc... At the time he had no pillion pegs fitted, (so they did not dig in and damage rear subframe). a…
