  1. Already tried that, but to no avail. Im thinking maybe the previous owner may have burnt something out, when he was welding the kickstand/frame. I did check all the switches and they all seem to work fine. If you have any other ideas as to what i could check, that would be a great help. Regards, Nick.

Can anyone help, i have bought a fzr 600 as a non runner. The guy i bought it from said there was a problem with the kick stand switch, and thats why it had no spark. When i got it home i could see that the previous owner had lost the old kickstand, he had put another stand on but it was from a totally different bike. In the process of trying to get it to fit he had done some welding to the frame. I have since replaced the kickstand and the switch but i still get no spark? I have tried a different cdi with no joy. I have checked all the switches(clutch, ignition, neutral) and the fueses. It has a new battery. I have tried a different reg/rec. There is power going to the ignition coils. It has new plugs. The bikes a 1990 3he model. So if anybody has any ideas that would be a great help. thanks.
  3. Hi just wondering if anybody can help? My son was recently given a dt125r, i think its a mid 1990's model, to use as a field bike. When we got it the carb was missing and the wiring was a mess!!. I managed to rewire it and i and i bought a secondhand carb, which fitted fine, but when we try to kick start it, all it does is back fire?. The carb has been stripped and cleaned. It has a good spark, fresh petrol, new plug, its getting petrol to the carb and to the engine and it has good compression. Am i overlooking something simple?. As its a been 20 years since i last messed with a 2 stroke. Also its the model with electronic ignition. Why it wont start??
