I also just changed my XJ600 for an xv750se on Good Friday and mine too is LOUD! The difference is my straight thru' pipes have a BS stamp on them and since it has just passed its MOT I presume they are fully legal. I rode it home 200miles and loved the sound it made (although had tinitus all evening). The noise is a shock but I'm sure I'll get used to it and indeed like it! Its great when you go for a ride and ride slowly through the town and everyone looks to see whats making that noise!

I've now got the XV and its fantastic! Rode it the 200 miles home in all those winds on Good Friday and still loved it!

I put mine on ebay and within a half hour someone foned me up and asked me what price i would take it off for. I told him to make me a serious offer and he offered 550 but I got him up to 600 and he came and fetched the bike the following day! result!!!

My divvy wasn't in great nick, 1997R i got £600 for it and I was delighted!

Hi all. I'm new to this forum. I have just sold my XJ600 and pick my "proper" bike up on Friday, an XV750SE. I Guess what I'm looking for is for you all to tell me what a great choice I've made and how much pleasure I'm gonna have. It will be my 1st big low rider, I had a 125, I enjoyed it fully but am now ready for the cruiser experience. I got the speed thing out of my system with the XJ but I now want to cruise rather than blast! Any advice welcome. Thanks in anticipation. Jud.
