Get a scottoiler. I did 65,000mls on my Honda and didn't have one, changed to a Yamaha in March had one put on and I can't believe the ease of it. Just had my 6000mls service and they adjusted the chain for the first time! Work out the figures if you buy 10 cans of lube you have paid for a scottoiler Square Box

I love mine, I commute on it, ride out with my mates (spent last weekend in the Derbyshire Dales with the snow) and find it does everything you need, couple of years ago I was on a biking holiday abroad did 3500mls in 10 days and another guy had an R1 with his girlfriend on the back! (I was on my old Honda) They are phenominal bikes quick, light and nimble plus you can get a good 150mls from a tank, servicing is 6000mls and on the new one the valves don't need checking untill 24,000mls. Anyone that's going from outside London beware the North Circular has lots of speed camara's on it and most of the road is a 40mph, there is one West bound just under the bridge before you turn off for the ACE cafe. Hi Mate, I used to lube my chain every 150mls unless it's raining then after every ride, lube it when it's warm i.e after your ride and the lube will penertrate the links. I swear by Putoline DX11 £6.95 for big can and very good won't fling off everywhere. Alternative is get a scotoiler then no worries with lubing Good luck Square box
