  1. Hi, does this help? Here
  2. Hello and welcome subbyrob Semi synthetic 10w40, Just done my Bandit £20 for four litres, But im sure you could use Tescos or Halfords finest for less cost. Fully synthetic is generally regarded as a no no in bikes due to the wet clutch. (clutch slip issues)
  3. Looks Great, well done! be careful when filling tank though, have some tissue ready, keep the drips off.
  4. Mick appeared on the Irish version of 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' and was nearly at the end of the quiz with winnings of £500,000.. 'You've done very well so far,' said the show's presenter, 'to get the £1 million, you've only got one lifeline left - phone a friend. Everything is riding on this question . . . will you have a go?' 'Sure,' said Mick. 'I'll have a go!' 'OK. The question is: Which of the following birds does NOT build its' own nest?' a) Robin b Sparrow c) Cuckoo or d) Thrush.' 'I haven't got a clue,' said Mick, 'so I'll use my last lifeline and phone me friend Paddy back home in Ballygoon.' Mick called up his mate, told him the circumstances and repeated the question to him. 'Foockin hell, Mick!' cried Paddy. 'Dat's simple . . . it's a Cuckoo.' 'Are you sure, Paddy?' asked Mick. 'I'm foockin sure Mick.' Mick hung up the phone and told the TV presenter, 'I'll go with da Cuckoo as my answer.' 'Is that your final answer? Lock it in?' asked the host. 'Dat it is, Sir. Lock it in..' There was a long, long pause, then the presenter screamed, 'Cuckoo is the correct answer! Mick, you've won £1 million!' The next night, Mick invited Paddy to their local pub to buy him a drink. 'Tell me, Paddy - how in God's name did you know it was the Cuckoo that doesn't build its own nest? I mean, you know fook-all about birds.' 'Ah bejaysus!' laughed Paddy. 'Everybody knows a foockin' Cuckoo lives in a clock!'
  5. You should stop riding it straight away, sounds like something has come adrift, I suggest you check the generator flywheel hasnt come loose
  6. The pilot jet is item 2 Here You need to unscrew it from the carb body and confirm it isnt blocked, This jet is the one used to start the engine, as well as part throttle opening, If you hold it up to the light you should see a hole through it (not blocked), use a magnifying glass if necessary

Hmm, Wonder what happened to MikeyDTR, he seemed such a nice lad
  8. Did you check the pilot jet was not blocked, Can you see daylight through it? is the plug wet?
  9. Go to dealer with your exact model and engine number, I personally dont like using bolts because studs are fixed and the bit that takes the wear and tear is away from the internal thread in the cylinder head, much better that way IMO
  10. Can be difficult to get to the bottom of these problems, But to make a start..have you ridden through much rain or puddles etc, seems rather sudden. I think you should remove the generator cover because thats where the CDI coils live, see if its wet inside the case and spray throgh the flywheel slots with WD40 then try again
  11. On first looking it should have studs, Its a newish bike so you would be able to buy them from Yamaha agent, or if you know the length maybe from engineers suppliers or look in motorcycle mechanics magazine see Here
  12. Can you fit studs instead of bolts, Loctite them on the head side and use nuts and spring washers on the pipe clamp.
  13. Awww, Shut up Matt youre embarrasing me, For once I got something right Eh. Glad it worked. Or to quote another of our members Thanks for the Big Up I Know a lot about not much and not much about a lot more But youre welcome, if it`s of any use (R1evad)
  14. I think iys more likely an ignition fault, Get yourself a strobe light and do an ignition check, Have you got a Haynes manual? I think it might be useful
