A couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and inform the other of the afterlife. Their biggest fear was that there was no afterlife. After a long life, the husband was the first to go, and true to his word, he made contact, "Mary . .. Mary . .." "Is that you, Fred?" "Yes, I've come back like we agreed." "What's it like?" "Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast, off to the golf course, I have sex. I bathe in the sun and then I have sex twice. I have lunch, another romp around the golf course, then sex pretty much all afternoon. After supper, golf course again. Then have sex until late at night. The next day it starts again." "Oh Fred, you surely must be in heaven." "Not exactly... I'm a rabbit on a golf course in Suffolk"

    Hi and welcome,
  7. F*ck! thought i'd answered this once!! Magneto systems are usually found on single cylinder bikes like your little DT, The majority of bikes are battery / electronic systems. A bike with a magneto system will have just one coloured LT wire into the coil, a battery ignition sytem will have two coloured LT wires into the coil.

I dont think you will need all that other stuff, after all...you dont need a driving licence to own the thing! or an MOT for that matter, I would take a copy of the receipt though and a copy of the V5 like I said Oh and one more thing...I want to watch a video on you tube when you get it going...wanna hear it and see all that smoke
  9. Airhead replied to wild foamy's topic in General
Ask the seller to write you a receipt for the bike, send a photocopy of the receipt the V5 and state that the registered owner has errm popped off! There will be a form at your post office to fill in too, ask them about it, they are usually quite helpful.
  10. Welcome Craig

Try spraying some Muc-Off on a microfibre cloth and wiping it down.
  12. See I'm glad she didnt bollock you though! With a shot battery it will only spark if its a magneto ignition system. so is it? If you dont know the answer to this, disconnect the bad battery and jumper to a spare car battery if you have one., be careful with polarity when working like this.
  13. See Drewps, theres no foolin fortmap Heres a good bar joke though... A snail walks into a bar and the barman tells him there's a strict policy about having snails in the bar and so kicks him out. A year later the same snail appears and says, "What did you do that for? "

Aye it was...but it started in 75 The summer of 1976 had its origins in the weather of the previous year. The dry, warm weather that set in during May 1975 over much of England and Wales was followed by dominant warm, dry, sunny weather throughout that summer and led to the development of large soil moisture deficits by the end of August.

Watch out for them 'Holes' when on the bike.
  16. Does it have a fuse for the starter motor, I'm not familiar, have you got a manual / wiring diagram? Also make sure the kill switch is off, the bike is in neutral, the clutch is pulled in.
