Not really restricted John, it's more in a mild state of tune.
however there may be a small tube in the neck of the standard exhaust the will reduce the diameter. This can be removed, I will put up some pics later for you
Hey Head_hunter, that is one of the best intro's I have read on this forum, welcome to the forum and welcome to biking, I too enjoy riding to and from work and i've been doing it 30 odd years.
Perfect choice of bike too

seized drive chain links can do this foamy, have a look at them when they are on the straight run between the sprockets, seized ones will be easily seen here.
In my experience a new chain will be the only remedy if it proves to be the case.
Welcome Sammo, I loiks retro
I remember back in 1964 my mum & dad took a public house on, in th old stable of that establishment was a triumph scooter. They gave it away. some years later a Triumph Tiger Cub trials bike took up residence in said stable.
Ask them anyway, like i said thats a drastic remedy and an expensive one too.
maybe the carb just wants a good clean. If youre not confident get some professional help with that
Have you considered buying a car? it sounds so bad where you live. It's the worst time of year...Autumn and god forbid someone may also want to ride their horse.
Wemoto do them but a full set is £118 ...dont know if this is cheap or not but it's not if compared to a DT

I have to do some work on the old DT, fit a new magneto source coil and time it. Maybe strip down the carb too and fit a new air filter...thats on Saturday so i'm thinking a ride to Matlock Sunday would be in order.
Photo?
Have you now damaged the bolt...as in mushroomed it?
If a bolt like this wont budge try placing a tube against a solid wall or somethhing, then hit the bolt into the tube.
