Engine paint , Black,

yamaha dt125r power problem
well it's a bit tricky on these bikes but... with a hot engine remove the fuel tank remove the spark plug and screw in the compression tester open the throttle wide kick over the engine until the tester registers its max reading (about 4 good kicks) read the indicated compression, should be around 90 - 110 psi as far as the pv goes have you checked it? does it make the characteristic buzz buzz of the cleaning cycle when you turn on the ignition? have you looked at the pulley when it does this and seen it move back and forth?

How about a V50D ? Look at these images http://classic-motorbikes.net/gallery~Yamaha-V50 http://classic-motorbikes.net/images/gallery/12341.jpg I think they are very rare, you will have a heck of a time trying to source parts

help needed what is my bike
Restoring any bike is likely to cost more than the final value of it, so you have to love restoring them and be planning on keeping her really I think

Carb help
For example if standard is a 170, then fit a 180...thats it. But you need to examine your carb and find out from your Haynes manual what size standad is for your bike...it may already have a bigger jet fitted for all you know
-
Carb help
I would myself just go 10 points up on standard.

DT125R 2003 minor issues
Yes thats it sam, just leave it removed from the speedo tucked out of the way somewhere...did you read the deristricting...topic? Sits flush against the barrel? I take you mean flush with the top of the exhaust port. Dont worry about jetting yet...one thing at a time. just do the reed switch for now.
