I like the spring compressor, simple but effective Yeah the paint finish is crap, mine has rust in the nooks and crannies too but not as bad as yours yet.

I have had tyres repaired before today, I think they used a plug with a big patch on the inside of the tyre...lasted without issue, having said that I'm not a sportsbike rider if you see what I mean.

a compressed air line on the other side with a bung will blow it off I believe...though I have never done it. a feeler gauge with some fairy liquid on it, slide it between the grip and bars at various points, then twist the grip back and forth; it will come loose, dont try to pull it off but push it off from the grip flange. Give the grip a good wash to remove the soap when it's off That one I have done
