Considering a SR125
How about an XVS650, a good reputation and can be restricted or full power. Plenty fast enough and comfy. i would think they should suit a novice well

Tyres square with commuting in towns and Cities, where the 30mph speed limits dont need much leaning

Genral maintenance
sorry mike but engine oil on chains just isnt up to the job, I've obviously been there and tried it but it washes off with rain far quicker than pukka chain lube. I prefer the sticky oily one to the dry (how can you lube summat dry?) type. Ohh and I clean the chain with a rag soaked in WD40, thats good for me.

No I didnt 'flip it' look again at the diagrams you will see the turn is much less than 90 degrees...you can have a choice of two positions without 'flipping it'

TW125 doesn't start
From seeing the video it seems the starter motor is working just fine. However I wonder about the compression, it seems to whizz the engine over just a little too easily. Verify there is a good oil level in the engine and try a squirt of oil in the spark plug hole (not too much...about a teaspoon full) this can restore compression if continual starting has washed away the oil from the piston. I take it there is lots of fuel available too?
