yeah...'a fucking good weekend' WP
-
It's just not necessary, just put the bike on it's stand and clean the chain insitu...no need to soak it in anything...matter of fact I dont think 'soaking' it in a cleaning solution/solvent will be anything but bad pactice as it will dispell the lube from between the rollers and plates.
-
Yeah have a play with it...make it your own mate and have fun doing it..., sticker removal...use a hairdrier
-
Bin the spark plug josh and get two more, one for the bike and one for your jacket pocket
-
I know...so was today! but sod it I'm going.
-
I have no qualms (is that really a word) about taking them off and re-using them But to take the chain off to oil it is madness
-
Greetings josh Oooh another DTR...good choice man ...paul

Greetings Gary we await

How about an XVS650, a good reputation and can be restricted or full power. Plenty fast enough and comfy. i would think they should suit a novice well

Tyres square with commuting in towns and Cities, where the 30mph speed limits dont need much leaning

It's got loads of character WP Remove the stickers though and it'll have a little less

Long arbor for cutting the baffle out of the XVS1300
Airhead replied to Kfc1404's topic in Yamaha Customs
Hope you know what you are doing Graham...is it a tried and tested mod? what happens when the baffle hits the end of the hole cutter...long arbor or not ? -
No sir just for cleaning.
-
sorry mike but engine oil on chains just isnt up to the job, I've obviously been there and tried it but it washes off with rain far quicker than pukka chain lube. I prefer the sticky oily one to the dry (how can you lube summat dry?) type. Ohh and I clean the chain with a rag soaked in WD40, thats good for me.

L-plate journey from Cheshire to Loch Ness and back

eee I love these when I were a lad snippets -
No I didnt 'flip it' look again at the diagrams you will see the turn is much less than 90 degrees...you can have a choice of two positions without 'flipping it'
-
From seeing the video it seems the starter motor is working just fine. However I wonder about the compression, it seems to whizz the engine over just a little too easily. Verify there is a good oil level in the engine and try a squirt of oil in the spark plug hole (not too much...about a teaspoon full) this can restore compression if continual starting has washed away the oil from the piston. I take it there is lots of fuel available too?

how can it be 90 degrees? look at the pics...it's a diamond shape not a bloody square
