  10. Crank seals need replacing ? to prove...spray WD40 through the slots in the magneto rotor when the engine is racing away (choke off) aiming at the crank seal of course you may see / hear something...a change in engine speed or tone etc
  11. apart from the confusion of your problem regarding the flywheel cover...It's black plastic unpainted or should be, also it is one piece on the DTMX but two piece on the earlier twinshock bike if the only reason to to try this is petrol and paint why dont you a: stop dousing the case in petrol b: use a paint unaffected by this practice c: strip the paint off your correct case (not with nitromors...it's plasic)...polish to personal taste
  12. Make a list of possible events Plymouth megaride Members of the Plymouth Motorcycle Club ran the very first Mega-Ride 17 years ago when approximately 400 bikers turned up, the following year numbers doubled to over 800. Each year since the numbers attending have continued to increase until the Plymouth Mega-Ride has become the largest motorcycle charity ride-out in the UK. In 2010 an estimated 8,000 bikers took part. Those taking part are asked for a £3 charity donation at Lee Mill and this year the total amount donated will be split between two charities: Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer and the Starlight Foundation for Childen. Participants can assemble at Lee Mill, the starting point, from 9am where refreshments and toilet facilities are available. The ride begins at 12 noon and the route is from Lee Mill eastward on the A38 to Marley Head, around the flyover and back to Plymouth where riders assemble on The Hoe, made available by kind permission of Plymouth City Council. The ride is lead by a Police escort and the speed kept to 50mph or below, allowing all types and sizes of motorcycle to safely participate. When the riders arrive at Plymouth Hoe, which has a spacious parade ground and grassy banks overlooking the waters of Plymouth Sound, they will be greeted by an array of trade stalls, food stands, live music and members of the public eager to talk bikes. 18. why not measure your existing offset before the wheels are dismantled, also measure the width of the original rim and the new rim. The offset can then be adjusted accordingly I did the same once...i was advised thet my rims couldnt be re-chromed (wrongly) and so I had new rims fitted, it came to be a decision i regretted ever since and so I sourced a new pair of used wheels had the rims chromed and built with ss spokes. Happy now...i do have offset info from when i did it Offset with the original Takasago rims

  21. no just a pipe connected to it and run down between the back of the motor and the swing arm pivot.
  22. yes use the bootlace ferrules they will protect the strands of the cable, the terminal strip you linked will be fine just cut one off. fit your wires with the new ferrules on onto this. remember to remove the fuse while you connect it up and replace it when done. hopefully it will be good then providing the fuse hasnt blown already.
