from wikipedia The term moped describes any low-powered motor driven cycle with an engine capacity not greater than 50 cc (3.1 cu in) and a maximum design speed of no more than 50 km/h (31 mph). Machines registered prior to 1 September 1977 as mopeds had to have pedals,[20] but engine power was unrestricted, and many could top 50 mph (80 km/h) (most famously the Yamaha FS1-E or "Fizzy"). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moped pedals were removed in 1977 like I said

  12. Airhead replied to drewpy's topic in The Bar
come to think of it were talking bollocks, mopeds were always fitted with pedals more of a necessity at first, its just that when the more powerful 'sports' mopeds were built they had to continue with the trend, it would be a better question to ask when were they not fitted? isnt your brothers moby a moped? pre 73
  13. what do you mean they dont stock them, you mean they arent listed on their site?...they are a yamaha agent and can get you them...no? other option is Terry Silvesters in Holmfirth, they will mail order too

  19. no its the head gasket, hope they didnt use one of those cheap nasty all metal pattern ones that have no rubberised coating
  20. answered in your other post plz dont double post
  21. the bearings are often stamped/etched with a code, get this then you can source the new bearings from any bearings supplier much cheaper than dealer prices are you OK with removing them?, dont forget there is a spacer between them inside the hub
  22. head gasket again, perhaps the old residue wasnt cleaned properly ...or if the bike was ridden to long when the old one failed it could have warped the head and so would require skimming
  23. stay on the roundabout dave...you'll be fine
