  1. greetings ant did you read the dutch cafe thread?
  2. yeah they term it 'pinned open' they make the PV full open all the time, the consequence is lots of clutch slipping and plenty of throttle...good high revs power but poor low revs power. you need to check the loom connector that usually goes to the servi is intact and source a servo from ebay?
  3. Ahh my bad I was getting confused by the term 'cable' you mean an electric cable! The cable in question attaches to the temperature sensor on the cylinder head...top right on this picture here It seems you do not have a working PV, who knows there may even be no servo on your bike, the servo turns the power valve by means of cables and a pulley you can see a servo (detached from the frame) here and the cables into the pulley enclosure
  4. yes it will run badly like this, get it sorted. there is a method to align the PV correctly when you get a new cable
  5. that will be one of your power valve (PV) cables, performance will be badly affected with this broken
  6. i wouldnt recommend that an inexperienced mechanic could do this myself? as for pointers take out the oil filler...can you smell petrol? smoke from the exhaust...is there lots of it that doesnr really clear when the engine is hot? transmission oil level...is the level falling with prolonged use?
  7. i'm afraid it may need a new crank seal (clutch side) and so is therefore burning transmission oil!
  8. best be quick then because they are closing them arent they?...more cuts!!!
  9. 24 degrees @2000rpm is correct it should start to reduce at 4000rpm to a final 20 degrees @ 12000 rpm yeah read my signature line

  13. pefully he will listen...im off now I take it you have paid? can you cancel...do so if you can until this is resolved
  14. ive done screenshots for you . as far as i'm concerned they implied they will deliver anywhere in uk, if it had said delivery can be arranged it moght be another matter. as i said you should talk to them, be firm but polite and say thats one of the things that attracted you...as it obviously was!
  15. do a screenshot of it and then talk to the dealer, say that you were of the understanding that delivery was part of the deal and thats why you were attracted to it
  16. welcome aboard Gav, nice neck of the woods you live in but hey sometimetime it can be a little windy. Greetings
  17. I agree, is it in writing? its bloody misleading if they expect you to pay for it, after all you could have got your own courier. I take then that really does need delivering?
  18. john ask Paul Dawkins on the DT forum you just joined but I think all the DT175MX cases are 2K4 as far as i can see 3J1 is the version commonly sold in USA....DT175G,H depending on the number
