is there a good flow of fuel to the carb? float height on these is 13-14mm

check the fuel flow to the carb is good and strong (filter gauzes in fuel tap / tank?)

how is it with choke on?

perhaps there is a cap concealing the bolt...either that or they just pushed in?

first thought is the fuel enrichment cct (choke) not working, not familiar with the bike , perhaps there's a fuel lift tube in the float bowl? perhaps theres a small orifice at the bottom of the tube, perhaps the small orifice is blocked, perhaps the crank seals are failing..all guess work really

cant imagine what the hole is for I have never seen one, it wont be for a fuel tap though will it...as the tap is way out front under the tank? the forum has a search box, you should see lots of threads asking about decals, such as https://yamahaclub.com/forums/search/?type=all&q=where+can+i+buy+decals

Hi Dan yeah they are correct for an American bike, you'll notice the side panels are also a different shape to the European bikes with that raised up part at the top front

you can put any oil designed for 4 stroke (motorcycle) engines or oil designed for 2 stroke transmissions, 10w40 will do
