  1. never done one, done head gasket though, cant see it being too hard, drain the oil / mush, take off clutch cover, drain coolant (plug in pump?) take off pump...i suppose its in the manual you didnt answer my question though!
  2. are what easy to change? head gaskets or water pump seals??
  3. water pump seal gone mate I am assuming that 'overflow pipe' means engine breather pipe?
  4. DT175MX cable Total length to end of nipples = 132cm Sheath length to end of adjustment thread = 119.5cm adjustment thread 8mm Patterns easily available from ebay, yambits, wemoto etc

  8. try yamaha uk first, they may have record of it and tell you the original registration number
  9. might be worth asking here toby, worth having as a contact anyhow http://www.tytrials.co.uk/ see if theres a parts list in the sticky 'Parts manuals for yamaha bikes', there is often useful service data in the back of those books, part numbers may also be useful. I bet it's not easy trying to get stuff sent to the islands is it?

  12. lets have a photo of the cable to brake drum fixing and adjustment, i'm wondering if a DT175MX cable would do it...readily available and cheap.

    No mate, its a starter jet that happens to say 'choke' on the knob
  18. It is a DT125, cant you see something on the cylinder that says 123cc (for example)
  19. could someone have put the wrong type oil in john? bikes have wet clutches as you know , so they need bike specific oils
  20. it would be best to have it as a functional trials bike if thats possible, thats where the value will be with people interested in twinshock trials events. Where are you Gary?
  21. Have you got a haynes manual, are you going to get one? There will be wiring diag's in there First post so feel free to do a quick intro in new members forum
  22. does the plug spark when connected to the HT wire and just laying on the cylinder head? Its not normal practice to screw in the spark plug and then hold the wire 6mm from it, how do you know you are 6mm for example...and are you holding it by hand or have you fabricated something to keep a constant 6mm? Only an ignition system in great shape will jump the 6mm anyhow, in reality it only has to jump a tenth of that gap at the spark electrode!

  24. Very nice Dean, I believe that high mileage ones may have jumping out of 2nd gear problems, perhaps others will confirm this. She looks a real beauty mate I always liked them myself
