hi mate, tell us some more, how can it possibly be that you feel you have to replace ALL this stuff?
-
i guess its a cdi ignition? test the resistances of the magneto pulse coil and source coil, also the Ht ignition coil, you will find the info in your workshop manual
-
you could just try turning the bars over, you would need to determine if they will collide with the tank at full steering lock!
-
my bike is 1979, its amasing how much progress was made in those 10 years lol

if its pdf you can right click and then use 'search' it will go directly the what you search for, if multiple resuls step through using the forward/reverse arrow , for example search for neutral -
sounds like you have several prblems, the engine idling fast and needing choke a lot and the oil coming from carb joint may all be related, you need to carefully investigate this situation, relace any joint gaskets in that connection but before you do just ensure the screws hoding this joint are tight enough you also need to remove the exhaust, replace the joint there and align the thing better so there are no gaps, this may also give to poor running as for oil in the airbox, clean it all out and check there isnt too much oil in the engine, there maybe an inspection window but bike has to be upright not on sidestand

nahh its a different lamp NEO, anyway the uk lamp swivels on a vertical axis, that is how aim left is achieved on mine! pretty sure the French ones are the same as ours and they drive on the other side too! I think its just a thing the Germans had, they did it with other things such as fenders, indicators and chainguard on their model!
-
sorry merv i thought you were meaning the skew came from the bulb itself, you are correct that german market bikes had a different headlamp thats a good call I too have seen where someone cut out the lamp of a sealed beam and attached a bulb holder
-
lookin good bertie @ gizmo that sig picure is way too big dude!!!!! and has it got an oil leak?
-
do bulbs have an beam angle merv, i always thought it came from the reflector / glass construction
