The teacher was telling the kids about the birds and the bees and she explained that when a man and a woman meet and fall in love, nine months later the stork usually brings them a little baby from its nest. Little Gemma at the back of the class put her hand up and asks the teacher, are you sure about the stork, miss? I think you're getting your birds mixed up 'cos my big sister just got a little baby and she said it was from a shag at the beach..!!!

  17. so am I reading this right? the starter is fixed to a casing that you remove to get to the clutch etc? there is a gear on the end of the starter shaft...right? Fit the casing back with the starter loose in that casing and as you offer the casing up on re-fit just waggle the starter motor so the gear doesnt jam up anywhere, it should all go back without any resistance...then re-tighten the starter
  18. If the cyinder is going up and down, that could be part of the problem...perhaps It is colliding with the petrol tank?

The 170 kit comes with a cylinder head...It's a fairly common upgrade so you should expect they have got it right? Are you not concered about the insurance implications of this?
  20. If you are involved in an accident with another vehicle though and it's not your fault...then you will be paid from the other party's insurance for any injuries you have suffered...That's right isnt it?

Blue printing is checking the transfer ports match up exactly to the engine cases with no steps, and that all the ports are covered/uncovered by the piston at exactly the same time. Theres no such thing as boring a cylinder head...Just skimming them for the optimum squish clearance so I'd guess thats what will be done there...This does increase compression ratio though which may not be a good thing on this bike?

As always the difficulty bwill be the lack of skill / experience or proper tools to undo the difficult bolts! Post pictures of the problem and tell us what you see the difficulty will be You want help, then post a proper intro in the noobs forum. It's good manners after all
  23. Try one anyway, that symptom is so familiar I had that a lot as a kid with field bikes...anyway they're only a few £'s so nothing to lose. Still sounds electrical ignition related to me
  24. I asked two Q's , not sure if you are refering to 1, 2 or both?
  25. whats it like with choke ON ? It could be an electrical issue though...Have you tried another sparkplug?
