YBR125 2013 How to replace clutch return spring
Airhead replied to dandanthepizzaman's topic in Yamaha Workshop
its probably more to do with a cold engine and thick oil, try rocking the bike back and forth while you're trying to select another gear -
Its a few miles from Its nest mate

that's the one for 78 and 79 bikes with the round section swingarm, but really if it's a basket case you need to see what frame you've got to be sure
-
is there ckearance on the exhaust valve tappet when it's not on cam?
-
could it be an air leak? have you had the carb/inlet manifold off? or fuel starvation...is there a good flow of fuel to the carb? is the tank cap venting properly?
-
600 it's a no brainer

Doesn't sound good does it Dave, haven't got a crystal ball fella but I bet you don't let your vehicles starve of oil in future!!!
-
usually the rear would work from the battery but the headlight needs the engine running ?

ya gotta take off the chain and exhaust lift the front out and hold it up, then pull it all forward to clear the back mounting easy as pie the above is just a thought Mark, I don't know why you're finding it so difficult!
-
would it help if you removed the cylinder head so that the rest can be lifted higher?
-
Hmm I think the welcomes have run their course and we're a way off subject...here endeth the topic Oh and thanks, we owe big debt of gratitude to all who served in our and our allies armed forces

no one really does rideouts much although a few of us will meet up a few times through the summer. Yeah it will have no means of fitting a DT175 airbox, it would be better to source the right one but they'll be rare as the IT bike wasn't sold in big volumes!

what do you want to know about the engine number other than it's a DT175MX? I cant help with registration sorry but I expect it'll be registered as an IT125, don't know how a 175 engine will fit with that? your best bet would be to have a word with Paul Dawkins or someone who knows about this stuff, might be best to investigate this hurdle before spending too much time and money on the bike??

TD175?
