-
They were new rings!
-
Just had an email from groupon, 26% off 'Virgin Experience Days' My luck's in but somehow cant see me lasting for days
-
I agree. paint the spokes, that way they'll be protected from the elements / salt etc besides, paint stripper just doesnt have any ability to do 'what it says on the tin' any more, thank the tree hugger eurocrats for that!

might be worn piston rings causing 'blowby' of compressed gasses into the engine casings, try placing a tube onto the breather and see if you can detect any draught coming from the tube, maybe also mix a 2mm deep soapy solution in a jar and see if the tube blows bubbles there? The tube will have to be a very good fit on the breather for any of this to work I'm kinda hoping others will chip in here as all of this is just a guess by me

Greetings Evan yeah start a thread on this, it would be nice to see them if you can post pics
-
Aow now that IS spectaculor I'm in the same boat as you DT with regars posting video, I copy and paste from the browser and all I get is a link...drewpy then comes along and puts it right
-
yes, I wouldnt paint or coat the nipples myself...it may get damaged when building the wheel. Take photos before you strip out the old spokes and also take measurements for the rim/hub offset Mask the spoke thread before painting
-
you can buy spokes from a yamaha dealer, for example Silvesters will send them to you, you'd have to paint them though, they will be standard zinc plated http://www.silvestermx.com/

Bippo you're my hero Glad you're back safe...ahh well back to the daily grind til next time. I must say I'm impessed you got the tiger back on it's feel all by yourself...well done you

Just get them from a yamaha agent, silvesters will post them to you why not give them a ring http://www.silvestermx.com/
-
That's what I was thinking too, yeah you might find them cheaper if you google the part number
-
well worth a second giggle haha
-
perhaps theres a reson for it, has the clutch been assembled correctly...does this even apply to this bike? Check the engine mounts are properly tight
-
Nice but the photo could be better
-
just look out for the ones that mount on the oil tank http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-Dtr-125-r-2001-CDI-Coil-switch-/370960336695?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item565ef58737#ht_97wt_958 I 'think' the ones with the silver coloured sheathing are the best though http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/yamaha-dt125r-cdi-/321269023546?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4acd20433a#ht_25wt_958

I'm surprised theres all that much difference myself they were only ever claimed to be 15 / 16 BHP or so how do you know ther DT hasnt been ported any?
-
theres no difference between 'crosser' plastics or any other plastics, get some flexible primer and key the surfaces woth wet n dry first, be sure to remove all wax polish etc before starting. allow each coat to thoroughly dry and flat each coat before applying the next. wet n dry used wet is the way to go
