It's not gone anywhere far away, I'd guess that the clutch rotation has thrown the oil out of the clutch casing into the gearbox casing and because the oil is cold and thick (viscous) then it will take time to seep back to the clutch case which is where the inspection window is? This is why you check with a hot engine

well the drain is on the right, so the best method would be 1st...on the stand 2nd...upright 3rd...leaned to right

so if your put 2 litres in, see that you get around 2 litres out, then re-fill correctly.

WTF 2 LITRES!!! Oil change quantity is 750cc Get it all drained out and measure 750cc of it and put that back, the oil has to be warm and the bike perfectly straight upright (not on the sidestand) to view the level in the window

the glass will show the oil level quickest with a warm/hot engine I expect, I wouldnt worry too much so long as you know the oil is in there

Wiring problems
could be the brake shoe cam getting stiff (rear wheel), give the operating arm a wiggle back and forward, it should move back (rearwards) quickly without you having to push it, unless of course corrosion is binding it up...a common problem in winter.
