  8. you have 2 screws, The big one is idle speed adjuster, the small one is mixture. Big one...screw clockwise to increase rpm Small one screw clockwise to richen the mixture
  9. might have starvation issues with high loads, float valves come in various sizes, is there a number on the seat somewhere...how do the numbers compare?
  10. you might find it easier if you have the caliper mounted loosely on the bottom mounting bolt

  16. The earlier DTRs had a round slide carb I think, if it were me though I'd stick to the flatslide as was intended, is yours goosed then? cant you get one from ebay? or someone here
  17. nothing more than nipping it up, I suppose the rubber seal / O ring will keep it in place

  21. I've ridden one of those things...not exactly a looker are they but hey they have an interesting specification for when they were made
  22. Clean the original either ultrasonic of the best you can do with carb cleaner and compressed air...save your money if the carb is only dirty
