  10. check you have a good flow of fuel to the carb, disconnect the pipe and have a look-see
  11. I reckon the hot sun is fooling the fuel injector that the engine is hot, therefore it gives no choke on startup and that's why you only had idle....just my guess though

no simon you can buy a rubber grommet from yamaha to block that off nicely, and unless you're doing some serious enduro stuff I'd recommend you block off the back one too because it isnt needed and plays havoc with your wheel balance as you can imagine
  17. yeah mate just tap the seal in flush with the casing face

  20. tell you what...if you can hear the pump noise you have a remarkably quiet engine/exhaust
  21. could it be wear in the bore/piston? often called 'Piston Slap' oil pumps are silent running

no, you need a relay that works...yours seems to be faulty. What we have been trying to get across is that you DONT need resistors with an electronic led suitable relay...the link I posted is one of those and it works just dandy without any resistors at all. However if you wish to use the original yamaha relay, then you would need resistors, dont know much about these so cannot advise you more along those lines
