y'know what it sounds like to me? Check for water or debris in the fuel filter, it may be integral to your petrol tap.

[quote I, too, would like to get another R6 purely for track use and complement the TDM with an R1 circa 2005 for Sunday blasts. Then there are a few classics I'd like - a Norton Commando (750) like the one dad used to have, a Suzi Kettle just for that noise, a Gold Star and a TZR250 or KH500. I'm not sure that I would be able to live with the frames and brakes on the KH or Kettle, mind. I'd best start buying those lottery tickets..... Your'e a mind reader, I would like all these too, Oh and a V Max.

Youre in good company!, Happy days, long hot summers, proper snow in winter. Yep different era! Just remembered another exotic offering, remember the Malagutti? Trail bike if memory serves, quite a looker.

Looks good enough for a story in MCN classics section I reckon.

Sounds more like a heat problem to me, when the engine gets warm something gets open circuit, not familiar with model though, any ideas Drewpy?

When you say you have no spark I assume you have the plug removed and you are cranking the engine with the ignition on and the plug securely grounded. Can you get hold of an analog voltmeter? set to 12VDC, Connect the negative lead to battery negative (Or chassis) and connect the positive lead to the coil low tension connector without disconnecting the wire from it, when you crank the engine I think you should see the pointer of the meter 'pulsing'although I must add here that I'm not an expert.

Hi mate, any sign of life from the battery, lights, horn etc, Is the engine kill switch off, And sorry but have to ask, is there fuel in the tank?

Youre absolutely right Yamahead, but sometimes you offer an olive branch and just get beaten about the head with it, and so it goes...on.....and on...and on

Some bikes are just like that, sometimes the oil is too thick, check the right viscisity oil is in there, and sometimes it helps to rock the bike back and forth while trying to select neutral.

No he's quite entitled to stay here, it's not just your puchbag, and there's nobody better at putting another country down than you Mr P, You could give lessons in it! Go play with your gun.

hello Jody, Never heard of a maxim 400, but if no one comes up with anything you might have to get a silencer off another bike (might mean a bit of trawling) to fit yours, or adapted to fit, good luck
