  1. Back in the olden days in my teens me and a mate used to always see who could draw the longest line with the footpeg of our bikes on the road surface, there was a particularly good bend for this near his house, alas either the footpegs are higher these days or i'm not as brave

Peeps seem to be pretty helpful, they may go on about testing coils before you condemn them http://www.suzukiownersclub.co.uk/forum/fo...opics.asp?FID=6

Hmmm you need to be careful here Elliot, you may not have noticed that your model is a compact version and not quite the same as mine. Mounting it as they say leaves the horn outlets at the bottom, where as i can do this by mounting both vertically or horizontally, have another look at my pic, you will see the difference. If you can guarantee no water getting in, you may be able to mount like mine, it certainly works ok, I suggest you try to contact the makers to let them know your dilemma, they might confirm its just a water issue.

Nothing to do with bikes i know, but my youngest girl and her boyfriend are planning an extended working holiday in Australia soon, must include surfing. Anyone got any personal experience, advice and tips. I would really appreciate it.

Not quite sure what you mean, The only thing is, you must not have the horn outlets at the top, if they are they might fill up with water..Works fine

The Tax Inspector At the end of the tax year, the Tax Office sent an inspector to audit the books of a synagogue. While he was checking the books he turned to the Rabbi and said: 'I notice you buy a lot of candles. What do you do with the candle drippings?' 'Good question', noted the Rabbi. 'We save them up and send them back to the candle makers, and every now and then they send us a free box of candles.' 'Oh', replied the auditor, somewhat disappointed that his unusual question had a practical answer. But on he went, in his obnoxious way: ' What about all these biscuit purchases? What do you do with the crumbs?' 'Ah, yes', replied the Rabbi, realizing that the inspector was trying to trap him with an unanswerable question. 'We collect them and send them back to the manufacturers, and every now and then they send a free box of holy biscuits.' 'I see!' replied the auditor, thinking hard about how he could fluster the know-it-all Rabbi. 'Well, Rabbi', he went on, 'What do you do with all the leftover foreskins from the circumcisions you perform?' 'Here, too, we do not waste', answered the Rabbi. 'What we do is save up all the foreskins and send them to the Tax Office and about once a year they send us a complete dick.'

Perhaps no one with a DT400 has read your post yet! I have a DT175MX, there is a bolt on each side of the bike towards the back, remove these bolts, lift the back of the seat slightly and then slide the seat backwards to release it. When seat is removed you can see the bolts that hold the fuel tank on, remone these bolts and slide the tank backwards to release the locating boss at the front of the tank...Then lift off the tank Not forgetting to disconnect the fuel line from the carb or fuel cock Dont know if yours is like this but may bear similarities

You could paint them, I painted mine this year DT175MX If you remove the old headlamp or tail lamp units and change then it might be a good idea to keep them as this is a classic bike and would be a crime to dispose of these IMHO, also try not to drill new holes if at all possible when fitting different parts...Good luck

  22. Yes a good battery would not fall to 11volts over a couple of days....Sounds suspect. Why dont you connect to your car battery with jump leads this would prove it.

Fred and Mary got married, but can't afford a honeymoon, so they go back to Fred's parents home for their first night together. in the morning Johnny, Fred's little brother gets up and has his breakfast. As he is going out of the door to go to school, he asks his mum if Fred and Mary are up yet. She replies "no". Johnny asks, "Do you know what I think? His mom replies, "I don't want to hear what you think! Just go to school". Johnny comes home for lunch and asks his mum, "Are Fred and Mary up yet?" She replies "no." Johnny says, "Do you know what I think?" His mum replies, "Never mind what you think! Eat your lunch and go back to school." After school Johnny comes home and asks again, "Are Fred and Mary up yet?" His mum says "no." He asks, "Do you know what I think?" His mum replies, "Ok do tell me what you think?" He says: Last night Fred came to my room and asked for the vaseline and I think I gave him my aeroplane glue.
