Good on you girl, never too late, as long as you can still get your leg over...(Ermm, over the bike)
  9. Just a guess, But you have to remove the pin, compress the spring, unscrew the top boss, lift out the collets, remove the spring.

Yes not up to speed on it myself, Goff knows all about it, look for her posts, all i know is its getting much more of a bind, but good luck with it and stick at it whatever hoops the bloody authorities throw at you, you definitely wont regret it and soon have your WR250 (or WR400 Nice bikes them.

Hello and welcome WR250, how come you've not got a bike then?
  13. Great news, glad your CDI's OK
  14. As kobaskle says, if it is seized pour a good quantity of penetrating fluid such as plus gas in, and leave it to work dont rush it! Seizures are usually piston to barrel on these bikes. Question is why did it seize, check the cable from the throttle to the autolube pump pulley has not broken. After you have left the penetrating oil to work, select a high gear 4th or 5th and gently rock the bike back and forth with the plug removed, remembering to cross your fingers as you do so
  15. Oops...Sounds like its seized
  16. Well done Becky, Take care on that Fazer
  17. Can you add a little detail, when you say flash, what exactly do you mean? light on and flashes off and back on is what i assume you mean
  18. By the time youve spent all that time and money on patching stuff, and found it still leaks, You would have been better buying a used tank off ebay as I said earlier. You should not worry too much about it, just ask the seller if it doesnt leak, save the answer from the seller, ebay will look after your interests if it does. IMHO
  19. Always good to see some success, well done junker . Now what about that other thread...The one about lights cutting out the engine...That fixed now?
  20. And thanks for that
  21. Welcome to the forum jimbona Personally I think they're a fantastic looking and well engineered bike, but you cant get away from the fact that they're an arse rocket and should be left to more experienced riders IMHO Have you considered a 600fazer s2 they look good too but not so aggresive methinks
  22. I think youre going to have no end of trouble with that tank, If i were you i would have a search set on ebay for another. Second thoughts, ive just had a look myself...£35 + £10 postage...Sounds good to me Here
  23. I answered another post earlier like this, so i'll repeat it for this Well were all coming up with different ideas Ive got three for the mix 1 ) You are developing vacuum in your tank as the fuel is used up, maybe a trapped vent line. To check for this run the bike with the fuel cap loose and if its ok check for trapped vent line. 2 ) Faulty vacuum diaphragm in fuel tap (Petcock), Try running in Prime position, if its ok sort out vacuum diaphragm, dont continue to use prime position as a fix though! 3 ) If the above dont fix it, maybe ypou fuel filter is blocked, To check remove the fuel line to the carbs, switch to prime position, there should be a good flow of fuel. (Definitely a no smoking operation) Good Luck
  24. Cant believe you said this just two minutes before this post Mikey, Its no wonder your friend wants to swap...He's probably sick of the premiums himself! Get a quote and youll see whats a lot for a car...Turbo indeed Why am i always pissing on your bonfire?
  25. Down here in Downing St, When he should be up there with thee!
