It doesnt matter, It takes as long as it takes, The flatter it is the longer it will take. If you really need a time I would say 8 hours. Check to see if the charger has a fully charged indicator and look out for that

Have to disagree with you there Olli, nobody takes the tops off to charge the battery, Only to top up the electrolyte, Not necessary as the battery is vented. Also no need to disconnect the battery, Just have bike switched off, make sure the charger is set to correct voltage (12v), some chargers have an led that says when fully charged, mine does

Hello Matt and welcome to the forum, Good to see you are enjoying bikes so much, I think with the gear lever issue, if you bought the bike from a dealer, get them to lift the lever by one spline on the shaft, that way you will have more room to get you foot under it

Hello Wildfoamy and welcome to the club, Nice looking little DT youve got there. To get slightly faster top end at the expense of acceleration you will need to go for a front sprocket with more teeth, I suggest no more than 1 tooth. Theres always the danger that this low powered engine wont pull higher gearing if you overdo it!
  8. I did this, put decals on then laquer after , then leave to harden, as has been said, in this cool weather maybe a week would be better, T Cut last if necessary...Dont forget, use petrol proof laquer on tank!!

Not a very popular bike so you may have to wait a while to find some, I suggest you look into Pauls offer, give him some measurements etc, and it might help if you post a photo. If nothing comes of it, ebay will be your best bet, save a search and the forks will come and find you!, There are firms that will re chrome so dont throw your old ones away It is however expensive.

If your bike ia 12Volt electrics, make sure new indicators are also, Same applies for 6Volt!...After that cant think of ant reason
  11. Be patient Tom, you may or may not get an answer, but not likely that quick!
  12. Hello and welcome DT1CM, Hard to figure without pictures, Could it be a connection for autolube, has the motor got an oil pump and the bike a tank, or is it petrol / oil mix? BTW for pictures Open a photobucket account Upload your pics there with each pic you will see four fields Copy the IMG field Paste into the forum
  13. Ok David, sounds about right, as long as its had around 4 days to harden off properly, Use T Cut on a damp cotton cloth, press gently with two fingers and use small circular strokes, polish off and inspect then repeat, Just do a section at a time, believe me its worth the effort, Dont be too vigorous and look out for signs of overdoing it, which will be signs of black paint on your cloth
  14. Dont know what youve done when you did it and what with, Can you fill us in, theres too many blanks at the moment

No me neither, smoke comes from burned oil, balancing would just be rough running, and anyway it could still have good compression even with Knackered seals, Its just that if you remove the valves for a thorough clean, you will need to give them a quick lapping in because you disturbed them.
  16. After its hardened off properly, T-Cut it for a good shine

Must admit that I know nothing about these bikes, But i'm wondering...Could it be a condensation drain pipe that doesnt actually connect to anything but is routed down somewhere for the water to drain to the road?
