  2. There may well be Bob but youre gonna need a Haynes manual, or get someone on here who has a manual to scan you the relevant page, I would start with PM ing Markyboy27, Hes into the mechanics of little dragstar and might have a manual. Personally I would be happy at the results of the multi meter test at the battery...Thats way way too high yes!, Looking for something like 14v when revved as i said earlier, Maybe you repair your regulater, dont be hasty to throw it away until youve seen the manual
  3. Not a good idea forest....especially when they are practicing stoppies!! Ouch...Thats gonna sting
  4. Thats right Cy, Just differences in language, Its paraffin our side and kerosene yours
  5. Hi Rhys in Oz, Good to hear feom you mate, Its a tricky one with your dad yes, does seem like double standards. Ive been riding bikes since 14 years old and my mum and dad must have been worried back then too, But at least for the first early years I was riding off road due to my age and gaining skill and experience. Ypu say you have also got lots of experience too..Thats what i cant understand, Especially that dads got a bike too! Anyway Good luck with it all... Think you better just get it and go out for rides with dad
  6. Hi Stan, Maybe there isnt an oil filter on it, sometimes on these small engines theres none, think they just rely on regular 3000 oil changes, But why dont you get yourself a Haynes manual for it, All questions will be answered in there
  7. No thats exactly what youre doing, bypassing the jets, you need to soak them in carb cleaner, Ultrasonic jewellery cleaners are good too if you happen to have one, ..cant be much wrong if it runs! Just a thought, If its running on two and the other two have blocked jets, Then if you rev it up and give it some throttle, Then the other (Blocked) carbs should come into play throgh the main jets, this is because of the increased air flow through the carbs at the higher revs, you will feel the exhausts warm up and will run smooth...This will confirm the starter circuit problem
  8. You are confusing me now, you said it runs on two, but when you spray fuel into the others it picks up!
  9. Well its 1 in the morning here and i'm off to hit the sack And im glad to hear that you dont work in...A chain factory See you tomorrow
  10. Im just enjoying myself at home, what do you do at work apart from this, and what time is it in Chicago?
  11. Well weve had funny from you Aaalll night long lol, Thanks I must say its been a hoot, Glad you turned up. See the thing is we can laugh at ourselves, You should learn to laugh at yourself too...like We all do.
  12. haha Gene, not at all, youre the one with the best uses And besides...Isnt that a bit of a contradiction
  13. No shit Sherlock!! Hey, Youre not as stupid as your posts Took you long enough though...Doh!!!
  14. Haha, not half as lame as (Down Arrow) Me too Gene
  15. Hello MrG and welcome, was wondering when you'd get around to an intro, I myself had a CB175, Lovely bike ...Ah those were the days.
  16. Gene, You say the funniest things lol, Your words not mine,
  17. Yes there is, if you get a good magnifying glass you may see it, but it might be blocked up, get some carb cleaner and have a poke about with something like a toothbrush bristle for example, you might get it clear. The carbs could do with a good clean anyway after 5 years, youre lucky to get it running in the first place. Dont forget to use the PRIME position to fill the carbs initially
  18. By all means try yes, but when the weather clears up a bit, The plug chop test is the thing to do, you may already be right with the 95 jet, Getting the right jet is more to do with the air filter change, and really nothing to do with the sprocket change.
  19. Talk sense to a Wa**er and he calls you all - Oldgit I rest mine too!
  20. I prefer bikes that are or have been used to ones that are only shown and never ridden, Having said that I still like to see them looked after and in good nick...
  21. Glad to help, Its a common stumbling block with new riders.
  22. And youre not the sharpest one!! And that means everyone other than you does it?, since no one actually agreed entirely with your unique maintenance regime. Accept it Gene, youre WRONG, by popular opinion. Try not to get so angry about it
  23. I'm sure the store is just fine and it will sort out all your carb needle problems once and for all, Not a bad price too IMO, Wish we could get them here but I know one thing, They would cost a lot more if we could.
  24. Hello and welcome , good luck with your DAS, All bikes are fun, just in different ways Not got an R6 myself, so i'll get me coat now.
