Hes so good he changed a blue/grey bike with hub dynamo and straight handlebars into a red bike with racer style dropped bars and no dynamo I remember that from back in the day

I read something on here once that the dealer may have registered the bike at point of sale and that you may be able to retriever the reg number from yamaha uk or if that fails,I Have also read that... using your frame number yamaha uk will write a letter stating the age of the bike in question for a nominal fee, this can then be used to get an age related number from DVLA

did you take it out of the frame? doesnt make sense does it The mounts on the frame are fixed arent they...not bolt on brackets?

Nice to see a good report on a motorcycle repaires outfit for a change.
-
so it seems you did seize it, of course you dont want it to happen again yet you have not addressed what I posted?
-
Oh dear...not good at all. First of I dont believe in coincidences and I'm thinking you seized it and could this be possibly something to do with you working on the air filter, is it torn or not seated / secured properly. Being able to push the bike backwards in gear without clutch pulled in...now thats an odd one I must say...best check the primary drive gear is intact Could be an expensive fix

still making the same old mistakes

Airhead replied to Cbodybagger's topic in Classics
Greetings Cbodybagger, you should buy a manual, either a new one http://www.helmetheadcycle.com/product/1503/clymer-m410-yamaha-80-175cc-piston-port2c-1968-1976 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CLYMER-MANUAL-YAMAHA-MX100-MX125-MX175-CT1-CT-2-3-68-76-/290492597899 or watch ebay for a used one. As for the stalling i'm with Cynic and his theory of a blocked pilot jet in the carb. ...Paul -
