  4. No idea on that one its an old bike so its whether you can source one used I suppose, dunno if living in Denmark may be a problem or not. Obvious answer is ebay. Personally I would fix it up as it is.

Its all abit confusing, our MX's were your (American) DT175E, F, G The prefix is 2A7 They were the monoshock bikes with 6 speed transmission However from what I understand the American MX's were without some street running gear werent they, lights, horn and the like (not 100% on that though) The prefix 443 is DT175A, B. As Cynic said it is an earlier bike, (twinshock) 5 speed. The engine will fit I think and for a field bike would be fine, I think that there is a slight difference in the chain run (5mm more outward on the monoshocks) but that shouldnt matter really on a field bike. However the electrics are different and the early bike runs with points.

If there is only one pipe (fuel) there will be no prime position. If there is another pipe that would mean it is a vacuum tap and it will have a prime position. Myself I would think it is not a vacuum tap and I will hazard a guess that down is ON horizontal is OFF and up is RESERVE. ...Paul

Welcome to the forum Will, perhaps a mention in the Noobs would be appropriate. I cant help specifically but I would think that the WR125 X (x is supermoto right?) would be a great looking bike that can also commute a bit, I bought a DT175 as a commuter in 1983 and still have it ...Paul

Pics are crap Dean get a new camera but only looks very minor marking and what puzzles me is they are not vertical scores? Does it really need a new piston...why not just rings? Like I say pics are crap so I might be missing something here

you know Dean...this is really unusual for a 4 stroker! hear a lot about 2 strokes because they are very sensitive to carburation. is the oil level ok, does the bike have an oil pressure light etc. wouldnt want it to happen again, how about some pics of the damage? Mervin made some good points earlier and 4 strokers are normally pretty bombproof.
