Silly question - gear reader for a YBR 125
just keep changing up till theres none left...that'll be sixth (does a YBR have six?) more importantly is having the revs right for the load applied, like..you wouldnt want to go up a steep hill in top gear and big throttle openings...keep the motor buzzing and not labouring.

Pikey trikey!!
wots this royal we?...not true of many bikers kev, certainly not me i really dont mind them but i would never have one by choice , all the disadvantages of a bike AND a car Thats bending what 'up yours' has posted ...nowhere in this thread did he try telling us what we can or cannot ride, read it again...its just about his personal prejudices regarding reliant based trikes!!!

Can anyone one shed some light please?
if a plug is dodgy it is likely to go down completely, yeah that would do it as far as 25mm top speed goes but it would also 'not sound right' or feel right for that matter! Its an easy one to test , when the bike is running dab the exhaust header with a damp rag, the running cylinder will have a hot exhaust and you will hear the hiss of the damp rag touching it, obviously a cylinder not firing will have a cool exhaust so this wont hiss. Its a good method of diagnosing cylinders that are not firing on multi-cylinder bikes. dont be dabbing any heat shields if they are fitted, you need to get to the pipe as it exits the cylinder if poss

Rocking thing in dt flywheel?
yeah the loose flywheel has sheared the key, in normal use there is no stress whatsoever on it because the taper locks solid. The key is only there for positioning. a new one will be very inexpensive...try yambits

Bam i'm not saying you need a new sensor,... no way a new carb i'm just guessing (and thats all it is) about this sensor on your carb...I may be wrong I have no experience of them. I suggest that if you can...get a manual and see if you can do any checks on it?

Can anyone one shed some light please?
oh your carb has a sensor! its no doubt a TPS and i've no idea what to do with it...never had the need to find out, it is no doubt in the manual...maybe a resistance reading check?

Petrol, In or Out?
salt lasts all winter its there even on sunny days, i'll grant you it's not around yes but wont be long now. I couldnt believe how early they started gritting round my area last year, by the time the snow came there was none left and boy did we have snow!

Petrol, In or Out?
Ive had my DT for 30 years and never had an issue with th 'IN' way however....I recently learned to my cost (on my bandit) that sometimes the fuel in one or more carbs can evaporate and form gunky gel that may block carb jets.... It's still the 'IN' way for me though with the occasional opening of the fuel tap (prime) to keep the carbs full Not sure only 3 pints is enough though, it may be best if all seams at the bottom of the tank are covered
