  7. I dont know of a manual for this john, theres one for the XVS125 but XV125??? is you fuel tank venting ok? and check your carb breather tube isnt plugged with crap
  8. if its pdf you can right click and then use 'search' it will go directly the what you search for, if multiple resuls step through using the forward/reverse arrow , for example search for neutral

    sounds like you have several prblems, the engine idling fast and needing choke a lot and the oil coming from carb joint may all be related, you need to carefully investigate this situation, relace any joint gaskets in that connection but before you do just ensure the screws hoding this joint are tight enough you also need to remove the exhaust, replace the joint there and align the thing better so there are no gaps, this may also give to poor running as for oil in the airbox, clean it all out and check there isnt too much oil in the engine, there maybe an inspection window but bike has to be upright not on sidestand

  13. nahh its a different lamp NEO, anyway the uk lamp swivels on a vertical axis, that is how aim left is achieved on mine! pretty sure the French ones are the same as ours and they drive on the other side too! I think its just a thing the Germans had, they did it with other things such as fenders, indicators and chainguard on their model!
  14. sorry merv i thought you were meaning the skew came from the bulb itself, you are correct that german market bikes had a different headlamp thats a good call I too have seen where someone cut out the lamp of a sealed beam and attached a bulb holder

  16. do bulbs have an beam angle merv, i always thought it came from the reflector / glass construction
  17. From experience I find this sheet baffle pack is way better than the loose fiberglass stuff, my bike suffered from noise and poor performance using that stuff...never again http://yambits.co.uk/exhaust-baffle-packing-p-839.html
  18. might only need new rings and the ring grooves cleaning, dont rebore without proof of wear to the bore!
