  10. Andrew i see you are using photobucket? copy the IMG tags and paste direct to your forum post and then we can see them on your post you can past multiple pictures to your post and comment on them
  11. If you chain was (presumably) that worn, you will need to fit new sprockets as well as a new chain

  13. if you have bike specific oil in there...correct clutch adjustment...correct cable adjustment ... plates and springs within specification you have just ticked all the boxes
  14. yeah sounds pretty carb related, probably way too rich gives a kind of 4 stroking feel... a firing of every two revolutions
  15. so all was well and since you had the ignition switch apart you have problems...is this right?
  16. is there a clutch adjusment to be done? and i dont mean cable adjustment perhaps a screw and locknut in the pressure plate? nothing in the manual? not familiar but this is sometimes the case

  18. has it had a new ignition switch? it isnt beyond the realms of possibility you are measuring things like bulb filaments, for example the neutral light.
  19. Not quite 'with' this statement gaz, what do you mean 'beep' multimeters dont beep on voltage settings...only continuity settings!

  23. lets eliminate the rectifier, maybe it is connected right but to prove it is or isnt the problem just unplug one of the wires to it with the engine stopped...does this help any? a common place for bad earths is where the loom wraps around the steering head on its way into the headlight...look for chaffing here
