3R9 is an IT125 The DT175MX carbs have a 43mm diameter ate filter boot connection does the carb have any id such as 3U500?
  2. Rich, I think you'll find it very difficult indeed to source an IT filter box, its a bit of a tough one really, to be honest although maybe not ideal I'd stick with the K&N , maybe buy a new one of those or something like it, are you sure the slide is blackened? some slides were black from new ...what number is on this carb, and what diameter is it where the airbox boot would fasten? Has the bike got a working exhaust fitted to this frame then? Post up some pictures of the bike

  6. Greetings back in the day, I've been thinking of selling my spare airbox for the mk1 DTMX ...need to get rid of stuff I've collected over the years. Might be problematic trying to fit it to an IT frame though?

dunno, lots though. Don't worry about it you have a petrol tap with a reserve position...use the tap correctly, just switch to RES when you run out of fuel in the ON position, then fill up whenever you can. In time using you're trip mileometer you'll find out just how far she goes
  13. yeah I see what you mean, it looks like a U5 from the M5 frame ident

you might get some HT lead from your local motor factors shops, check them out or google search the web which I did here and you can get all you need from them? http://www.wemoto.com/parts/electrical_spark_plug_cap/

You cant detach the leads on these modern bikes, Rather than shelling out for new coils perhaps It'd be much cheaper to cut back to good pliable lead and connect some new HT lead via a purpose built connector? http://www.trialsbits.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=714

There really couldn't be an easier bike to run off road, all you need is to have the cdi connected colour to colour at the magneto stator and a kill switch in the Blk/Wht wire, Orange to ignition coil... no battery needed

10v00 is correct for DTLC mk1, standard jet was 80, so 100 is way bigger, possibly too much so but at least now you know BTW I got this from my Haynes manual

There's nothing wrong with your silencer, Its just packed with the wrong material, get rid of all the fiberglass fill and get yourself some wool sheet, use only enough to fill the silencer without compressing it tightly, silencing and performance will both be greatly improved http://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/hl-555565/
