  1. 1: Check the inlet valve clearance is there at TDC 2: Stick a couple of teaspoonfull of oil down the plug hole and try again

  8. The switches are usually pressed in with the stand in the up position, however the stand switches are (again usually) not in play when the neutral light is ON...you may have more than one problem?

  10. Its a manual choke...nothing so fancy as an auto choke on an old mini

  13. you cant normally zero out the leads on a digital meter DT and I have never seen them read more that about 2 Ohms myself
  14. yes of course it could, what does 'no reading' mean? Older style meter need to be switched to the 2K Ohms setting in order to measure 730 Ohms
