  2. can you see the end of the baffle through the silencer? if you can then tap it out using a length of pipe / conduit etc
  3. cant see it being a major problem I bet the DT175MX one is long enough to cut in half and machine to those lengths, I'll check if I can find one I think the plastic bushes will be the same too so if the measurements are OK you could buy a kit for a DTMX

  20. I can see this being a great job, tell us about the vinyl wrapping as you progress... I've never seen it done and would like to see how
  21. no youre not maga testing them, mega tests are for insulation breakdown and charge 500v into the components...no need for that you will use an ordinary multimeter and take resistance readings having switched your dial to the appropriate range for the expected reading...unless your meter is a modern auto ranging jobbie, you'll have plenty of time to pinpoint the fault if the engine needs to cool at this stage we just need to know if the spark disappears when it's quit
  22. I thought as much, It makes the whole project so much more difficult due to sellers unwillingness to export items and also so much more expensive! so you really need a good bike to start with that doesnt need many replacement parts...I see yours does look quite good from the photos
  23. well you have at least 3 coils to consider 1: The HT coil 2: The source coil in the magneto 3: The pulser coil in the magneto Check your manual and see what resistances are quoted for these coils and note them down along with the associated wire colours Chapter 4 Ignition system will give info on how to check these coils
  24. how is it getting parts from ebay in Norway? are there parts within Norway or are you having to buy from other countries?
