    It's a R1 jamie
  4. there is no wire earthing issue with your bike,
  5. Hi everyone was the beginnings of an introduction , but the rest was questionable Hi Lee
  6. Yeah Grouch, I rang them for you today, they told me they had to buy a new ink cartridge for the invoice to be printed (not much in the old one or summat) and that they'd be in touch just as soon as they get one
  7. you need to check out the starter button, it's stuck ON!
  8. its a spelling mistake lol try un-fastening
  9. actually what I'm now calling the solenoid is the relay lol solenoid term dropped forth-with
  10. yes it's direct to the solenoid, a red/white wire. have you tried in-fastening this wire and then what happens?
  11. maybe I'm wrong issy I was just assuming, perhaps the signal goes to the solenoid direct...confirm?
  12. well then either the solenoid is seized on or the sterter relay is signalling the solenoid all of the time, not just when the button is pressed?
  13. try googling 'starter clutch' issy
  14. Plasticote BBQ paint is what I use, commonly available at B&Q and Wilkinsons, so no postage charges there
  15. click my username>send message>use full editor and send the scanned file (attachment)...I'm off now will check in tomorrow
  16. yeah maybe It would be good to see the wiring diagram, any chance you could scan it and attach to a PM to me?
  17. never seen one myself but if its not in the wiring diagram it wont have one however I have seen some quirky things in built in the looms before...!
  18. I suggest you ask NEV he's the guy to ask on here, That pipe is also missing the rubber mounting and sleeve by the way, see the big hole in the bracket...it goes in there so if you did buy buy it you'd have to get those too If it is genuinely de-restricted ( as can be seen by welding back up) it's about the right money if it's in very good nick
  19. banking the emissions pipe isnt de-restricting it is it? isnt ther gubbins inside the pipe too? cat converter for example
  20. some of the early bikes didnt have a regulator, if you cant find one this may be the case with yours...havent you got a haynes book then? Perhaps the battery is fubared, the battery will sink away some of the excess but if it's low on electrolyte or sulphated it wont do so we have a @new Member' forum for intros ya know
  21. post the item number
  22. Cant fault the original pipes myself so long as whoever gutted it did a nice weling job afterwards, whichever you settle for if you neglect it...it will look bad at the header and rot away quickly which is what happened to yours..keep it clean with a regular wipe down and re-paint (even if its only the header) just as often as is necessary and it will last well

yep I agree, It's gone that way with cyclists now...If they are wearing a helmet or not will reflect on the compensation they get after having an accident yet wering a helmet is not compulsary. When all said and done It's just the insurance companies trying to keep their liabilities lower isnt it.
