sounds like theres no compression...has it dropped a valve or snapped the cam chain?

175 has a 6 stud cylinder head, 125 has 4 stud...and for that matter it will have the capacity on a casting mark at the bottom of the cylinder, for example 171cc

OK seen the pics but theyre crap! too dark...cant make out how the outer anchors behind the cylinder...is it a metal bracket or a fixed casting? If it's a bracket could it be weakened and bending under the strain of disengaging??

Black probe on a clean ground point Red probe on...... Brown, Meter to 2k Ohms, 300 Ohms for mk2 (Magneto charge coil) White/Red, Meter to 200 Ohms, expect 10 Ohms for mk2 (Magneto pulser coil)
