  1. as for fuel consumption I could only guess about 80mpg? Normally with Yamaha 2 strokes the oil low level light (red) will come on when in neutral, the absence of this is so you know when the bulb has gone and of course it will come on permanently whether in neutral or in gear if the oil is low...so you might need a new bulb if yours is designed the same way?...better to know now than when it's too late in a nutshell...the oil level light comes on in neutral as a bulb check feature
  2. Ah well I mis-interpreted your 'Red', never mind...but while we are one on the subject of oil lights 1: is the V80 a 2 stroke..it is isn't it? 2 if it is...is there a red oil warning light available on the dash? 3 Does the red light work when you are in neutral? It'd be nice to know...it's important
  3. Greetings Emma, is the red light an indication of low 2 stroke oil level, if it is you must stop riding it and get some 2 stroke oil in there, you'll badly damage the engine! having said that...you're implying the red light is a fuel warning, I cant comment on whether that's right or not but if there's no other red light on the dash i'm going with oil
  4. they always stick, myself...I use a hot air gun to soften it and it pulls of easily, but you first have to slide the clamping sleeve thing back along the pipe
  5. eh? what are you asking me bernek?
  6. its just for hydrocarbon emissions, so that any unburned fuel is offered air from the airbox which helps to consume it (I think) there must be very many ways you could find to blank off that hose spigot
  7. this is interesting, when I look at this page I see the part# 3tb1559400 is listed for my own bike my own bike TT600RE, but when I look at the link for starter for my bike...it lists the other much cheaper bearing 3tb1559001...it begs the question why?. If I was you i'd ring them or email to see if they are the same part? https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/view/3TB-15594-00 https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/4184136/tt600re-5ch5-2004-050-a/starter-clutch I'm confused by it now...just email them and see if they have what you want at a better price you can see here that 3tb 15594 00 is not what you posted a link to originally but 3tb 15590 01 is?? https://www.bike-parts-yam.com/yamaha-pieces-catalogue-10796-13.html

  10. Fowlers are a great supplier I use them myself, you're welcome bernek What year is your bike? the fowler site mainly lists uk bikes but that part seems to be in many of them if not all, you can search the same year as yours but in uk version and then maybe cross reference to a parts list for yours?
  11. two codes with the same letters and numbers, they are both the same thing and they are used in a great number of models as you will see if you 'view linked bikes'
  12. in stock here at £95.72 https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/search/part/3tb1559001

  15. 6 wire cdi then jack, the red wire in your loom will have no part to play
  16. it depends entirely on which stator/rotor you have, are there two coils piggy backed or not?
  17. Greetings Pete, nice bike they are
  18. it wouldn't do any harm to give it a clout with the wooden stock of a hammer though, you never know?
  19. It's not the starter motor that is the issue but the starter solenoid is what's the problem...wherever it is and whatever it looks like...it will have some pretty substantial wires connected to it. I'm not at all familiar with the bike so I cant offer any more help especially without seeing it
