Just installed Yamaha Passing lamps on my V Star 650. Followed directions to the T. When I turn on the key I get a weird humming (It's different than the fuel pump) that goes away after a few seconds. Bike seems fine, everything works. Any Suggestions?

I'm located in the US. I have hundreds of folks from Europe in our training facility every week. I can probably get it brought to Manchester. I just put a Hyper-Charger and Jardine pipes on my '07 Silverado, it was the best thing I've ever done! I have no reason to mess with you. I work for one of the largest Corporate training facilities in the US. Check out www.qcenter.com.
  3. It sounds like you did not get what you paid for and that the carbs probably need a good soaking. If you want to try something I would suggest getting a can of Berrymans B12 or Seafoam and running through a tank of gas.

I have an '07 650 Silverado. I just purchased a set of Jardine pipes and a Kurkuyan Hypercharger. The Hypercharger came with Jet kit. I followed this Link http://www.650ccnd.com/hc.htm for the Carb Re-Jet (First time I've ever done carb work), and then I followed the Hyper-Charger instructions to the letter. I was amazed at how easy it was to do the jets, both pilot and main. The most difficult part of the entire install was getting the aluminum screws out from the float bowl covers. I ended up using a thin pair of side cutters to break them loose, then it was no problem. I replaced them with 4MM X 12MM hex cap screws. The difference in the bike is completely night and day!! I purchased the pipes and Hypecharger from two fantastic sellers on ebay. The Hypercharger came from seller "americanclassicmotors", and the pipes came from seller "mx113". I highly reccommend both. I purchased the pipes and Hypercharger for $470.00 complete with shipping. Again, the difference in the performance is fantastic.. Good Luck!

I've seen several conflicting suggestions about re-jetting with the addition of a Hypercharger and after market pipes. I understand the need but do I really need to mess with the needles? Second, anything wrong with the Kuryakan supplied jet kit? Thanks!
