It could be worse - I think my leathers must have shrunk over winter, they looked so daft I had them 'adjusted'. Now that is a sad sight a biker with belly sticking out of leathers. God help me from preening myself thinking I look cool when really I'm a fat git. What think you?

Try the carb float(s) are not stuck in the up position. If it was unused for a time it may have fired up with the fuel left in carbs but fresh fuel wasnt allowed in by the stuck floats. Otherwise the carb jets may be gunged up. Good luck

Look around your local dealers and see the condition of the Fazer stock but for a good quality dealer model allow £2750 to £3000, private buy with no comeback, I'd say £1850 to £2250. They are a good all round bike with 95hp output should put a grin on your face. Also handling and brakes are good.

Just bought a 2008 TDM900a and I'm well pleased with it. I'm not tall but after softening the rear suspension it's good. The bike is well balanced and loads of torque. Max 4000rpm for running in is 70mph so no problems there. Roll on summer. You would be well pleased with one.
