I stopped under a motorway bridge during a snow storm it was safer than riding. But if a cop got snotty I could claim the engine cut out with the snow

Oh, and I thought he either had cramp or was doing a bikers gesture.

Hi pilinggas, glad you like the TDM. Ive got the 900abs model and it's good fun for me, it shows a few 600's dust. Try again on Carpe forum, it shouldn't be locked. loads of advise and stuff from other tdm riders. all the best

Well, as long as my nurse can help me get my leg over (the seat of my tdm) I'll stay happy.
  5. Better to go with a friend, but give yourself plenty of time and it will be good fun. I toured Cornwall from Manchester many years ago when I was 16, on a honda 50. An adventure I never regreted. Good luck.
  6. Hi Chadkoch You may be able to get the wheel rebuilt with new rim and spokes, I guess it is a spoked wheel? Try various small motorbike shops, they may have a contact. best of luck

hi pe89, it could be 'crud' that's making life difficult. Give the offending collar and boss a good spray of easing oil or paraffin. leave to soak overnight, wipe off and have another go. Also, could you draw out the collar with a bolt and spacer arrangement. You need to make sure the bolt head is reduced so it can pass through the boss as you tighten it up.
  8. Hi djw. So you ran your bike without checking the oil, it seized and you want some instruction. Try asking your dad for a wad of dosh and buy another bike.

I had a Moto Guzzi 750 Nevarda. Bought it new, did 12000 miles in 18 months, replaced bits that fell off and traded it in. The trade in was the best bit

Sounds like your clutch is worn. New friction plates will be the answer. In other words, strip down the clutch and renew the plates. Not a big job but you need to know what you're doing.

    nice one drewpy
  12. Also, the solenoid can click but if the battery connection or earth connection is in poor condition there wont be enough current flow to turn the starter, so check all connections are clean and sound first - cheapest job first! Good luck

Hi John and welcome to the forum. If you alter the position of the bars you'll need to make sure they dont catch on the fairing. I changed the bars on my 600 Fazer, there is a wide choice from many bike shops and I picked one to suit my needs. Enjoy your Fazer

A cheap option. buy tow rope ,attach to 125, connect other end to willing R6, hang on.
