  3. Im looking for a windshield actually, dont know if itll fit me bike tho. Where do you get those chrome thingys from for the front wheel, they are well nice . If you not selling em, if you hear of anyone who has either, Id really appreciate it as my bike is kind of naked of all fussyness (not a good thing lol )

nope coz she had her ultra sexy thermals on
  5. thats a beautiful bike!!!! She looks so shiny and well looked after. The pipes that you have on there look the dogs b******s and I would not change them. If you are struggling with her growling maybe just get some earplugs and carry some paracetamol lol
  6. Hi there Franklyn, whats your user name or ebay no etc so i can go have a look. Would they fit on my dragstar 650? Do you just take the foot pegs off and fix them on instead? Thankyou in advance

  11. I know youre a pro Goffy, just didnt want you to be surprised at how windy it is. I HATE the wind, but rain doesnt bother me, but both together would do me in lol!! See ya tomorrow, what time you arriving at a guess?
  12. I hope it has calmed down for you as well, that saddleworth moor bit of that motorway sends chills down me spine when its calm weather. It should get less windy i think, its almost galeforce up here at the mo, but that was never forecast, so hopefully its just freakish weather. It will be cold this weekend tho, so fetch ya longjohns!!
  13. thanks s.b. its been forcast for snow over the weekend up here also...brrrrrrrr

I know this possibly isnt related, but my old car was showing that the battery was fully charged, but it wouldnt turn over, but the lights still worked etc. I took the battery down to a garage down the hill, who tested its productivity, it was as charged as it could be, but was only registering 60 % of what it should have been. So maybe get the battery checked over in case its old, and needs replacing. Specially if it started doing this after our cold stint.

  17. If its any consolation, i pick my new xvs650 a week on monday, and i may not be able to ride her, depending on wether or not i pass my test a week tomorrow ..... and my last lesson is tomorrow morning and its damned windy up here!!!
  18. cheers goffy, it was driving me mad, and steve was saying it could be a virago star or something, but i kept saying that they looked sleek like the dragstar (as the virago is kind of slouched looking instead of smooth to the back- lol if that makes sense). Cheers for the info tho, and i will look on evilbay for footboards.
  19. Hi, Ive been looking at numerous sites for foot boards to replace the foot pegs which are already on my bike. Also wanting toe/heel controls, but stumped as where to get some that arent incredibly pricey. ( for a dragstar 650 classic ) AND... am i right in thinking that a "V star 650 " is the same as the dragstar 650? i am a little confused as lots of sites use different names etc... yep im a bit thick lol.
  20. Hi there, I have a dragstar classic 650 in black, it is still in the shop at the present as I need to pay the last installment

Hey there, I posted a "hello" post on the main forum, but then found this bit. Also just realised that the friend i mentioned with the dragstar 650 is actually on this site anyway But anyhoo, I am about to take my 125 test at the end of this month, and have also just bought ( but not quite finished paying for) a yam dragstar 650. I will have to restrict her of course, but at least then at the end of 2 years i will have a " new bike" once i take the restricters off. Picking her up on the 31st march from the local eddy wright dealers, then will spend hours looking at her before i send her off for restricting. ( sounds like neutering a pet doesnt it). So heres hoping that i pass my test before may so that i can enjoy the full benefits of an early english summer before my kids break up from school lol!

Well, just bought my first big bike, Ive got my test end of this month and will get her restricted for a couple of years. Shes a dragstar classic 650cc, and Im in love!! Im hoping to customise her as and when i can afford to do so, and was hoping some people on here may know where to get parts and how to sort out any problems etc. I do have a friend who has exactly the same bike, which is handy, but you can never have too many answers to too many questions.
