    Thanks to you all for your advice we have fixed the problem it was a case of too much oil in the gearbox. when we drained it and refilled it with less oil the problem went away.

    hi I'm new to this, but can you help me I just bought a 1998 dt50 and it's a little cracker! I have a problem in that it is smoking excessively, it was fine when I bought it and tested it. I noticed that the oil in the gearbox was low so I got some oil and topped it up and now the bike is smoking badly. Can anyone help and give some idea what the problem is and how to fix it. :? thanks
