Sorry not read all the thread but if you were caught by a camera I am sure I can give you a few scenarios as to how you can get away with it (they have not failed yet) if you have not replied to the NIP. If you were stopped by Police then I think you may be looking at a ban. I cant say anymore here other than it's helped 3 times in 12 month for myself and family. PM me and I will explain.

Right then, just a quick one, R6 has had the run-in service a year ago. Is the service schedule every 6000 miles or every 12 months whichever is sooner? Stoopid question I know!?!

my worst injury was when I had an Aprillia RS125 years ago. Was indicating to turn into a side road, before I knew it I had flown over the top of a brand new corsa. The guy driving thought he'd be able to over take me before I turned, suffice to say he had no insurance or license! I broke my ribs and my wrist plus cuts and bruises, I was quite lucky really as the bike got crushed under the car! Put me off riding for a few years as I'd only had the 125 a couple of months. 7 or so years later I decided to get back on and bought my next bike, an 08 R6 about a year or so ago.
  4. I did my test this year and went out and got a brand new R6 in March. Had no real riding experiance before as such but again been driving fast cars since I was 16. Got insurance without any problems at all and I'm 25. Yes an R6 is a very quick and potentially lethal piece of kit but as long as you give it respect you'd be fine. It did take some gettng use too but now I am very comfortable with it and don't regret jumping straight onto an R6 at all. Just my 2 pence worth

25 year old located just outside of Reading. Passed my test on 17th Feb and went straight onto a 2008 R6... to be honest it all happened pretty quick... my bro bought an R1 at the end of december, had a sit on it and thought, yeh I like this and then just over a month later I'd done my test and bought a new bike! well I'd already bought the bike before I'd even passed my test! Even sold a mint 55 plate M3 convertible in order to justify a brand new bike

Yep all good thanks. Getting on V well with the bike now. Only upto just over 300 miles so still a way to go for the running in service. Not sure what bits I want to add to it yet but can't find anything. I def want a black screen for it but not available from what I can tell yet, crash bungs, when available are due to be fitted by On yer Bike. One thing I am doing is going to take off the pillion foot pegs. Think it will make the bike look a lot better and will also do the rear seat cowl, again when I can get hold of one!

As above really, anyone have any links to accessories / parts for the 08 R6. I can't seem to find anything available at the minute.

I live in lower earley, just outside of reading and will be back and forth to aylesbury a bit as my bro who's got an R1 lives over there. Got the R6 in graphite and loving it! when the ol' weather gets a little warmer and my confidence is better (only done 50 miles on it so far!) we should meet for a blast./
