Yeh , get the plugs out , then crank it over without plugs, to empty cylinders,, your oil will be contaminated too. check & change, then inspect the petcock ,as it must be passing, . before intalling plugs check for spark,, incase your on wrong problem,,, . -

This emissions thing was a big fad " Diesels are the worste pollutors, It was Honda that wanted 2strokes fazed out of GP racing. the practically own the F.I.M. and low and behold , the"ve got rid, of 250cc Gp &125cc Gp races,,,, replaced by Moto 2 = 600cc [ Honda engined bikes] I bet Aprilla are sick , as they had the dominant 125cc 2T, Gp bike,, If evolution had carried on, the 2T engine would still be the fastest & most powerfull engine ,

Hi Andrew. the carb needs an air filtre for restiction ,as the over lean mixture causes poor pick up at low throttle openings,, Also check the pilot jet is clear, how does it run with choke on,,, Start a new topic in workshop,,,,,about this problem,

What were the symptoms seconds before it died, ie. was ther a knocking noise "[ crank] or a gradual slowing, -smoking- excessive heat,, we need more info. was ther a light on dash. i mean how did you know to look for oil, if motor dies most causes are fuel related.or ignition..

Drop the oil, [drain plug] then measure it in a jug, , The neutral thing is because your clutch is dragging. adjust at lever, -
Ah " youve found the post. low on oil will give change issues too.
