1600 star

I am 6' tall and 235 and have been riding for many years and wondering if the 600 class sportbikes have enough go for a guy my size? Will the weating take a guy my size comfortably? I own a cruiser and have been on one cbr1000 many years ago. A lot of things change in a few years with new technology. Don't know yet if this year brings a new sportbike to the garage or not?
