Beenout on mine to Wales at the weekend - loved it! Even in the shitty wind across the M56 motorway and the driving rain....... my baby pushed on and got me home. Little shaky in the wind cos i was 2 up and fully loaded, but even with all that lot on he still managed a great speed! I ADORE this bike.....its bloody brilliant - and i wouldnt swap it for anything else.

Well seeing as most bikers who frequent Matlock also know of Squires, devils bridge, bakewell, cat and fiddle, snake pass, helmsley, horseshoe pass etc etc etc - i didnt think i needed to explain what it was as OGOAB knows it anyway!

Avon are good tyres. They'll stand up to a pretty good bashing. I have friends who swear by them, but its personal preference, and at 130 quid a pair, i think you got a good deal honey

I HATED prep!! It was 5-7 for juniors, and 6-9 for seniors - then we'd have "sus" at 9.30pm which consisted of a glass of watery (and rather vile) orange juice and a biccie/oat cake/piece of shit tasting thing lol Lights out was 10 - 11 on a weekend if you weren't going home or on a weekend visit. Them were the days And i went to Rishworth School in Yorkshire - right in the middle of freakin nowhere!

I too was brought up in a rural area, until the age of 11 when i went to private school as a boarder no less...... School on a saturday morning and regimented homework periods from 5pm till 7pm every night..... I was not taught such things either........i chose to widen my horizons and search out what is not classed as "the norm" I found an alternative lifestyle....and im still living....and loving it

Having said that, the legend of the boxes have bugger all to do with decadence and orgies - it was recorded by LeMarchand that he had visited such an establishment and had given one of his boxes to Madame Chappieus. The interest lies in how these boxes were constructed and the mystery that surrounds LeMarchand himself, NOTHING to do with orgies and the like......

No....actually...its not a "nice little music box" Its called the Diviners Secret Window and often referrerd to as the Lament Configuration. Legend has it that in 1784, France's greatest magician, Duc De L'Isle, commisioned toymaker, Philip LeMerchand, to make a mechanical puzzle box to a "very specific request". Upon its delivery, L'Isle then poured blood into a pentagram carved into the floor and uttered "Niktu Specular Suave" nine times. This caused the box to solve itself and opened a portal to hell that can now be accessed anytime that anyone solves the box........ It is believed the LeMarchand designed and created more than 270 boxes before his mysterious disappearance. It is, of course, the stuff legends are made of, but as i said in my previous post.....very odd And yeah - stuff like this does float my boat.......

But im curious - if you love your missus as you say you do and she's having your baby - WTF are you doing looking for a girl to ride pillion with you? If i was you're missus and having your kid - i would nail your balls to the ceiling for even thinking about it......... Get some panniers and load them up with bricks if its weight you want.....but having said that, i havent seen Valentino Rossi going round bends with a bird on the back for a bit of stability.......

I love riding pillion.......almost as much as i love riding my own bikes My advice to you is......dump yer missus and find a girl who shares your interest in bikes.....will only give you grief in the long run. my ex wasn't a biker when i met him - but he said he liked them - even went as far as passing his test - but he wasnt a biker, never will be - cos he had NO IDEA what its really all about. Get yerself a new missus!

I have a TomTom Rider 2 - its BRILLIANT Cant recommend it highly enough - its glove friendly, waterproof, dead easy to use and i wouldn't be without mine now. It has a Scala Rider bluetooth headset which you attach to your helmet so you can hear it, and also answer your phone lol, but i dont use it at all i just go off what the screen shows. Top piece of kit IMO.

Exactly what it says You should do - its a lot more social now - we have our own rallies and get-togethers now, and theres always something going on - we're all usually out somewhere tearing up the tarmac lol - there's still the odd pervy munter on there but most of them are ok. If ya need a heads up - just ask - nowt gets past me
