the coolant resevoir is almost to the top, even cool so im guessing the previous owner may have topped it up, im going to change the coolant this week anyway and put silkolene pro cool in her... but i only just got the bike-emailed the previous owner tonight to see if he ever had the problem?

Yesterday when riding back from maidstone to wolverhampton i had a problem when i hit wolves. The engine temp. hit up to 104 degrees! it normally runs at around 81deg's and not much above it when rapid riding-especially in this cold weather. Also the idle went from approx 1,000rpm to just above 4,000rpm!!! It was a bitch trying to pull away from lights/junctions and trying to slow down also... I stopped at a garage checked the coolant and that was fine, everything else seemed ok, even double checked fuses and they seem fine??? It has got me miffed, i am thinking maybe that it may be contaminated fule or a fule issue? i filled up with 95 ron at maidstone, then in birmingham filled up with BP Ultimate, and thats when it seems to have started? :?: :?
