  5. If not your gas line then probably your coil. Once the engine runs at higher rpm your coil cant supply the amount of current your engine is demanding thus make your coil very very hot. You can drive your beast w/o seats & check the coil if its getting hot. If it does, then, replace it w/ a new one.

    Ok i finally figured out what's the problem w/ my beast. 1. I replaced a heavy duty rectifier. Bought from oregon motorcycle for $100.00 2. I bought & installed used stator from ebay 3. Brought back the newly charged batts 4. cleaned all the connectors 5. Broom! Broom! Everything went great!

    Hi! Got a problem w/ my 79' XS1100F. Here's the problem: 1. 1 push start ok. nice accelration & evrything. 2. After driving 5mins the engine will cut off & the battery will be drained. 3. After a few more minutes, the engine will start again & that is the cycle now. Start, stop, start. whew! 4. does this have anything to do w/ my coil, rectifier etc? Pls help! Thanks!
