Just a short introduction, I lived and worked in the UK and then emigrated to Australia, been a member on several other Yam related forums and just found another! spotted some familiar names already, looks a top site so the beers are on me!
  5. Has it been standing long? some clutch's have been known to stick, push the bike upto a wall, start and engage gear and hey presto it free's up! long shot but it maybe stuck!

I'd also hazard a guess the valves may have closed up! dealer should check Carb mixture Fuel flow/pressure/float heights Carb Balance Valve Clearances Ignition timing Def get it sorted quick or you could end with a bigger problem than you have now!
  8. I'd also drain the float bowls and check for water! def sounds like fuel starvation!!!
  9. With the ignition off turn the servo-motor slowly to another position from where it is! , then when you turn the ignition on the servo motor should bring it back to it's zero position. I would also check that the carbs have been synchronized properly and the air-bleed screws are set to about 2 turns out. Common issue is the exup shaft does seize-up and can cause problems, just like I say above see if you can move it by hand (should be relatively easy). Check the cables are not frayed also this can cause exup-stutter!
